ATLANTA, February 5, 2002
Indus International Inc. (NASDAQ: IINT), the leading global
supplier of enterprise asset management software and services*,
today announced that Indus InSite will be the first
true multinational collaborative asset management solution,
thanks to a new strategic relationship with WizArt Software,
a leading provider of enterprise localization technologies.
This strategic relationship supports the Indus InAble Partner
Strategy (see January 8, 2002, Indus release, "Indus
Announces InAble Partner Strategy"), which unites
pure Internet component technologies into the powerful new
Indus InSite collaborative asset management solution. Indus
selected WizArt's localization software to expand InSite's
appeal to companies around the globe through support for
international standards with dynamic language translation
and customizable linguistics capability.
"InSite is designed to be a vehicle for collaboration,
without regard for software architecture, users' computer
expertise or geographical boundaries, and WizArt has helped
us achieve this goal by enabling InSite to break down the
language barrier to collaboration," said Larry Hagewood,
senior vice-president of the InSite Business Unit at Indus.
"With WizArt's technology, we developed InSite to open
up collaboration to any person that can add value to an
asset's management including suppliers and partners
in countries around the world making InSite the first
true multinational collaborative asset management solution."
"Like Indus, our commitment is to offer the best technology
for the best result," said WizArt CEO Michel Balcaen.
"Indus has used our best technology, WizTom,
to develop an innovative solution that will accelerate collaboration
in a global and dynamic, multilingual business environment.
With InSite, Indus International is truly defining the collaborative
asset management space."
Using WizTom, WizArt's flagship product, Indus developed
a single code base for InSite with dynamic language translation
to enable geographically dispersed users to collaborate
using the system in their native language. This capability
represents a dramatic departure from traditional systems,
which offer translations of static displays and templates.
With InSite, the language translation is dynamic and accomplished
real-time without any programming effort.
Furthermore, advanced localization features enable InSite
to be personalized to use terminology customary to various
vertical industries. In addition, InSite is delivered via
an application service provider for convenient access using
an easy-to-understand Web browser interface. These capabilities
make InSite an appealing solution to companies that want
advanced collaboration with customers, partners and suppliers
in multiple industries and with multinational facilities
around the globe.
