WizTom for Cognos

WizTom for Cognos eases collaborative work and business intelligence across language barriers! By enabling instantaneous translation of Cubes and Reports, WizTom for Cognos makes information sharing in multiple languages quick and simple.

Duplicating and administering several sets of translated reports or setting up new Cognos/database servers for translation are time-consuming and expensive tasks, especially as translated reports must be kept in line with the database and the original, "master" reports.

By eliminating these constraints, WizTom for Cognos enables your Cognos development staff to focus on their main job —develop and maintain reports— while still providing your users with translated, up-to-date information.

Architecture Overview

WizTom for Cognos is based on the same technology as WizTom for the Web. WizTom for Cognos is able to translate everything, from Cognos JavaScript and dynamic pages to custom Cube labels and data. Additionaly, reports in PDF format may also be translated on the fly!

Thanks to Cognos architecture, relying on Internet standards such as HTML, XML and PDF therefore casting off plug-ins and ActiveX components, the integration with WizTom for Cognos is complete.

As a result, not only is WizTom for Cognos capable of translating the user interface: HTML and dynamic pages, but it can also handle the custom documents you have created with Cognos, without the need to duplicate them.
