WizTom for WebIntelligence

WizTom for WebIntelligence eases collaborative work and business intelligence across language barriers! By enabling instantaneous translation of Reports including ad-hoc reports, WizTom for WebIntelligence makes information sharing in multiple languages quick and simple.

Duplicating and administering translated Universes and Reports or setting up another WebIntelligence server are time-consuming and expensive tasks, especially as translated Universes and Reports must be kept in line with the database and the original, "master" Universes and Reports.

By eliminating these constraints, WizTom for WebIntelligence enables your BusinessObjects staff to focus on their main job —develop and maintain Universes and Reports— while still providing your users with translated, up-to-date information.

Architecture Overview

WizTom for WebIntelligence is based on the same technology as WizTom for the Web. To translate WebIntelligence specific data, WizTom for WebIntelligence also provides specialized parsers in addition to the basic WizTom for the Web HTML parser.

This feature enables WizTom for WebIntelligence to support the following data streams:

 Universes for use with the Report Editor control (ActiveX/Java);

 Full-Client Reports for use with the Report Viewer control (ActiveX);

 PDF Reports for use with the Acrobat Reader control.

As a result, not only is WizTom for WebIntelligence capable of translating the user interface: HTML and dynamic WIS pages, but it can also handle the custom documents you have created with the BusinessObjects Windows Client or InfoView (universes, reports), without the need to set up another WebIntelligence server or duplicate Universes and Reports.

BusinessObjects Extractors

WizTom for WebIntelligence also provides specialized extractors to work with BusinessObjects files directly from disk. BusinessObjects Extractors can extract texts from:

 Universes (.UNV files);

 Full-Client Reports and Templates (.REP and .RET files);

 WebIntelligence Reports (.WQY files);

 WebI server pages (.WIS files).

Supported Versions

WizTom for WebIntelligence supports WebIntelligence from version 2.6.

Windows NT4/2000/XP and Sun Solaris 8 are supported.
