WizTom for XML extends WizTom for the Web's capacities
in order to provide support for XML applications. Thanks
to user-defined filters, WizTom for XML retrieves and
translate texts contained in XML files effortlessly.
Web Services greatly benefit from WizTom for XML as
it enables companies in different countries to exchange
translated XML data. This unique technology allows for
seamless deployment of localized Web Services in a fraction
of the time necessary to translate Web Services the
traditional way!

Architecture Overview
WizTom for XML is based on the same technology as WizTom
for the Web and extends the translation to XML files.
To translate XML data, WizTom for XML uses user-defined
filters that specify which tags and attributes should
be translated in an XML file. The XML data may be static
or dynamic: the interception technology of WizTom Web
Proxy Server makes sure it is translated either way!
When used for Web Services, WizTom Web Proxy Server
can be installed between servers: while WizTom for the
Web is usually set up between the browser (client) and
the server, WizTom for XML may be set up between two
servers to translate texts as they are exchanging XML
data.

XML Extractor and Filters
WizTom for XML provides several tools to easily and
quickly define XML filters. XML filters make it possible
to customize the XML Extractor and the way XML files
are translated.
|

|
It allows for quick and easy definition of those
tags and attributes, in the XML data, that contain
texts which must be translated. To define which
items should be translated, the localization manager
can use a sample XML file or a W3C XML Schema
file.
The XML Filter loads the file and builds a hierarchical
view of the data model, which allows for quick
and easy access to each item. A single mouse click
activates translation for each tag or attribute
that must be processed by WizTom Web Proxy Server.

In addition to supporting XML files and XML Schemas,
WizTom for XML also supports XSL.
