WizTom for Windows' unique technology allows
for hassle-free localization of any Windows
application into any languages. WizTom for
Windows consists of two components:
WizTom
Studio: the localization tool;
WizTom
Runtime: the runtime environment.
The core technology lies in WizTom Runtime:
its role is to intercept any text before
it is displayed to the user, and replace
it with its translation from the Multilingual
Database.
|
 |
|
WizTom Studio is the localization tool
used to build the Multilingual Database.
It provides basic tools: capture of texts,
Translation Editor, as well as more specialized
tools such as the Deployment Helper, Extractors,
Import/Export filters and more.
Note that WizTom Runtime is also embedded
in WizTom Studio. This means that when a
project is active in WizTom Studio, WizTom
Runtime is also running on the computer.

The Localization
Process |
 |
|
|

|
WizTom Studio's main window is already
organized according to the steps involved
in the localization process. In this section,
we will focus on the upper part of WizTom
Studio: the Basic Tools.
The localization process includes the following
steps:
Project
creation: application to translate,
original and target languages;
Extraction
or capture of the application's texts;
Translation
of these texts into the selected target
languages;
QA
review of the translated application;
Deployment
of the translation.
This tutorial will demonstrate WizTom for
Windows' features on Notepad.
